The Collegiate Academy of Sport is a program available to our Year 9 and 10 students, specifically designed to help them meet their sporting and training goals. Whether you’re looking to play professional AFL, need additional strength training for your dance career or want to row for Australia, the Collegiate Academy of Sport will design a bespoke program that focuses on strength, endurance, nutrition and even how to handle publicity.

About the program

CAS recognises and supports a wide range of sporting pathways, including those not offered directly through the School. You will be encouraged to demonstrate your commitment to your sport through external training, competition and personal development.

CAS is for motivated student-athletes ready to train with purpose, set goals, and reflect on their progress. A growth mindset, consistency, and ownership of personal development are key.

Students participate in two double lessons per week, which include sessions on strength and conditioning, performance mindset, recovery, goal setting and more.

Students engage with a range of specialised units,
including:

  • Sport Skills and Psychology
  • Female Health, Menstrual Cycle and Sports Performance
  • Anti-Doping and Media in Sport
  • Recovery Strategies, Sports Nutrition and Performance
  • Analysing Sports Performance

CAS includes presentations and workshops from guest speakers and external experts, providing valuable insights from within the sporting industry to deepen student understanding and inspire future pathways.
