Music Scholarships are offered for entry to Years 5, 6 or 8 in 2027. Students who are offered a Music Scholarship at Collegiate are required to contribute meaningfully through commitment to Music ensembles at the school, community performances, eisteddfods, and any other performance opportunities as required by the Director of Music (Performance).
Performing, Visual Arts and Design Scholarships are offered for new or current students entering Years 5, 6 or 7 in 2027. For students who are able to demonstrate exceptional skills or potential and dedication to the Arts and are prepared to contribute fully to the School’s Arts Program.

Scholarships Process for 2027

- There is an application fee of $99 payable at the end of the application.
- Applications close 31 August.
- Scholarship application outcomes will be communicated to families by the end of September.

Music Scholarship (including voice) | OPEN NOW
Music Scholarships are offered for entry to Years 5, 6 or 8 in 2027. Scholarships offer a discount on tuition fees and are open to new students who wish to commence at Collegiate and current Collegiate students.
As a guide, year 5 applicants should be performing at or above the following standards:
- Brass and woodwind – 1st grade AMEB (or equivalent)
- Strings and Voice – 2nd grade AMEB (or equivalent)
- Piano – 3rd grade AMEB (or equivalent)
Higher AMEB levels will be required for applicants for higher year levels.
Exam:
All Music Scholarship applicants are required to sit a short educational assessment on Monday, 7 September. Information about the testing will be sent to you via email in the 7 days leading up to the test date.
Supporting Documentation (Due Wednesday 2 September):
Music Scholarship applicants must also submit:
- Summary outlining all relevant music experience (maximum one page)
- Latest full school report
- Latest NAPLAN report
- Copies of any achievement certificates or any other awards which may be relevant to this application

Auditions:
Music Scholarship applicants will also be invited to attend an audition and interview on Thursday, 17 September. Applicants will need to perform 2-3 contrasting pieces of between 7 and 10 minutes in total. They will also take part in a musical aptitude test.
A recital brief will be sent to you via email, along with confirmation of the audition and interview timings.

All Performing, Visual Arts and Design Scholarship applicants are required to sit a short educational assessment on Monday, 7 September. Information about the testing will be sent to you via email in the 7 days leading up to the test date.
Supporting Documentation (Due Wednesday 2 September):
Performing, Visual Arts and Design Scholarship applicants must submit:
- Summary outlining all relevant experience (maximum one page). This should include: Details of formal training, performance experience, participation in specialist workshops, any other skills or relevant training, visual arts and design experience.
- Latest full school report
- Latest NAPLAN report
- Copies of any achievement certificates or any other awards which may be relevant to this application
- A reference from a specialist teacher or creative mentor.
- Performing (Dance and/or Acting and/or Musical Theatre) applicants are required to submit a video of a recent performance. This video should be no longer than 5 minutes. The video should be as close to the applicant as possible with good quality sound and vision.
- Visual Arts and Design applicants are also required to submit a physical folio of their work. The folio should contain 4-6 pieces of work and should be delivered to the Senior School reception by no later than Wednesday 2 September. The folio will be assessed by a panel of experts, and shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview on 17 September. The folio will be returned to the applicant at the end of the scholarship

- Acting applicants will need to present a 3-minute scripted monologue.
- Dance and/or Musical Theatre applicants should perform two contrasting solos no longer than 3 minutes each.

Academic Scholarship
Academic Scholarships are offered for entry at Years 5 – 11 to students demonstrating excellence in key learning areas. Scholarships offer a discount on tuition fees and are open to new students who wish to commence at Collegiate and current Collegiate students.
Final exam day details will be provided in the week leading up to the exam day to those families who have applied.
Alumni Scholarship
The Collegiate Alumni Scholarship is open to new students entering the School from Years 4 to 11, with a family member who previously attended Collegiate. This is open to new students wishing to attend Collegiate, where they would not be able to otherwise, by offering a discount on tuition fees.
This scholarship is means-tested to assist the school in assisting those who may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend the School. Scholarship offers will be determined by the family’s financial need and the details collected during this process will remain highly confidential.
Applicants will be required to sit a shortened educational assessment.
All-Rounder Scholarship
The All-Rounder Scholarship is open to new students entering Years 5 to 9, who demonstrate that special Collegiate sparkle of general excellence, positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to the life of the School.
All-Rounder scholarship applicants are required to sit for full academic testing.
Anglican Scholarship
The Collegiate Anglican Scholarship is open to new students entering the School from Years 9 to 11, who have a family member in the Anglican Clergy.
Applicants must demonstrate that they are active members of the Anglican community. Applicants will be required to sit a shortened educational assessment.
Ningina Tunapri Indigenous Scholarship
The Ningina Tunapri Scholarship provides an opportunity for a new student entering Years 9 – 11, who demonstrates a strong sense of community and willingness to embrace opportunities.
Applicants will be asked to demonstrate their connection to an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community.
Applicants will be required to sit a shortened educational assessment.
Regional Scholarship
The Regional Scholarship is available for new boarding students entering Years 6 – 11, who live in regional Australia.
The scholarship offers a 50% discount on tuition fees, along with coverage of transport home (flights/ or bus fares) twice a year.

Important information
Academic and All-Rounder scholarship applicants are required to sit academic testing.
All other scholarship applicants are required to sit a shortened educational assessment.
Students may only hold one scholarship at a time.
