Boarding at Collegiate
Our Boarding House, located on our Senior School campus, is home to both local and international students who board with us either casually or full-time.
We have an in-house catering team who provide all the meals for our Boarding students, and the students also have access to on-campus facilities including the gym, pool, study areas and the library.
Important Information for International Students
The Commonwealth Government requires the Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) Levy to be paid before commencement at the School. Students must maintain OSHC for the duration of their visa. The School arranges OSHC on a 12-month basis, and the levy is added to your daughter’s school fees each year.
The Australian Government, Department of Immigration and Citizenship Living In Australia web pages contain information and publications about life in Australia, and links to government settlement services, including help learning English. These pages also provide information about Australian values and the cultural diversity of Australia’s people.
The Australian Government wants overseas students in Australia to have a safe, enjoyable and rewarding place to study. Australia’s laws promote quality education and consumer protection for overseas students. These laws are known as the ESOS framework and they include the Education Services for Overseas (ESOS) Act 2000 and the National Code 2007. Parents and students should make themselves familiar with this framework.
The Overseas Students Ombudsman investigates complaints about problems that overseas students may have with their private education and training in Australia. Overseas students or their family/friends who are concerned about a problem a student is having can contact the Ombudsman. The Overseas Student Ombudsman is independent and impartial.
