Enriching our Academic program

Starting from our Early Learning program, Collegiate offers a wide variety of co-curricular activities to enrich the lives of our students.

We encourage our students to take advantage of all that Collegiate has to offer in our sporting, music and other enrichment activities.

Junior School

It is important to nurture recreational interests from an early age.

Our extensive cocurricular program is designed to offer students the opportunity to expand their talents, interests and skills.

They can take try group or individual music lessons, Ballet, Chess, Art activities, STEM and Coding, Woodwork, Gardening and Tennis.

If team sports sound fun, they can join in with Hockey, Teeball, Soccer, Basketball, Sailing, Dance and Netball.

Middle and Senior School

Students have a multitude of opportunities to extend their range of interests and abilities. We strongly encourage participation in a wide range of activities by all students, as we see such a significant and positive effect on student development.

A list of stimulating and exciting activities for students in Middle School is sent out each term. Recent activities have included Design Time, Latin and STEM.

Senior School students organise various fundraisers, including a Mother’s Day breakfast and a variety of community events in support of their chosen charity.

Sport

Collegiate fields school teams in over 20 sports, and an impressive number of girls take advantage of our superb opportunities and facilities.

As well as traditional sports such as tennis, soccer, netball, hockey and rowing, we have some newer ones to try, such as surfing, sailing, touch football, triathlon and AFL.

Students have the opportunity to participate in individual events, team rosters, inter-house carnivals and to represent the School at a state and national level.

For those girls in Year 9 and 10 who are pursuing a national or international sporting career, our Collegiate Academy of Sport (CAS) program is the perfect subject.

Clubs

There is little chance of boredom at break times.

Our student clubs are run each lunchtime, and have recently included Knitting, Gardening, Book, Just Dance, Theatre Tech, Youth Alpha, Newspaper, Breakfast, DIG (Diversity Inclusion Group), Arts and Crafts, Movie and Writing Clubs.

The clubs are designed and run by the students, so they do vary from year to year.

Expressive Arts

co-curricular

Expressive Arts

The Expressive Arts is for students with a creative bent. An extensive program includes choirs, string ensembles and orchestras, the concert and symphonic bands. These groups have opportunities to perform regularly both within the School at assemblies and concerts, and also within the wider community.

Students across all three schools have the opportunity to participate in School Musicals that are staged in the Performing Arts Centre (PAC).

Private tuition with expert teachers is offered for a wide variety of instruments and voice. Many students also participate in local eisteddfods, with the encouragement and support of the School.

For students with an interest in art and design, there is an opportunity to exhibit their work at an end of year exhibition in the Performing Arts Centre, open to the Collegiate community. A piece of artwork is chosen annually to be kept by the School as part of the Tremayne Collection.
