Our Boarding House

Hobart is home. Tasmania is our classroom.

There’s no better way to experience Collegiate Boarding than hearing directly from the people who live it every day.

Meet our Head of Boarding, Casey, and some of our boarders as they share what makes our Boarding House feel like home—from lifelong friendships and delicious meals to study support, weekend adventures and the caring community that surrounds every student.

“We are new parents to collegiate this year and the idea of our daughter living away from us was pretty daunting. The best part has been the flexibility, enabling us to easily communicate if our daughter needs an extra night or doesn’t need to stay. The casual nature suits us so well. I always feel secure with the way Casey manages it. I love the way the girls can go and grab afternoon tea. This casual approach makes it feel like a home away from home. I’d love other parents that maybe don’t need full time boarding to consider this as an alternative to long days on buses /or drives in the car.”

Casual and Day Boarding

Casual and day boarding are available for local day students.

Casual boarding is available for current day students from Year 5 who require accommodation for short periods, ranging from one night to a full term.

Day boarding services operate from the end of the school day until the end of boarders’ prep time at 8:30pm. This allows day students to use the Boarding House for after-school activities, join the evening meal and complete supervised homework in our dedicated Study Hub.
