International Enrolments

Step 1: Expression of Interest
Complete an expression of interest form or call us on +613 6211 4911 or email us directly at international@collegiate.tas.edu.au

Together with this form, we require:
·         Certified copies of the student’s last two school reports
·         Certified translation of grades and comments in these school reports

During the expression of interest form, you will be required to provide a copy of your passport and visa, as well as details about your nominated international agent.  We will then contact your agent regarding your enquiry.

Step 2: English Testing
Students entering the school (particularly those entering Year 5 through to Year 12) may need to complete an assessment to ascertain their competency in English before enrolment can be considered.

To ascertain the student’s English competency, we may ask that you complete online or paper English/Maths testing.  We also accept testing completed via AEAS or equivalent.  If other English testing platforms are preferred, please consult with the school prior to completing any assessments.

Should your English competency not be at the standard required for immediate commencement, we will discuss this with you and consider what language support may be available within our school setting.

Step 3: Interview
Once you have completed the expression of interest form and provided the necessary documents, we will contact you or your agent to arrange an interview with the Head of Campus and International Student Coordinator/Head of Boarding.  This interview can be done in person or online via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

Step 4: Offer of Place
We will then prepare a letter of offer, which will be sent via email to you/your agent together with all documentation.
The offer of place will outline all fees that will need to be paid and how to pay them.

Step 5: Confirmation of Place
Once we have received your signed acceptance and the required payment, we will provide the necessary documents to support your child’s student visa application with Immigration.
This includes the electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) and the Welfare Declaration (signed by the school as applicable).

Step 6: Arrival Details
Once your student visa has been granted, please advise us of your daughter’s travel plans and arrival details.  We will then arrange the appropriate airport pickup and transportation to the school, and assistance getting settled into the boarding house, etc.

We will provide information about induction and orientation, including a packing list, via our boarding handbook and website.  Where possible, we prefer a parent and/or guardian to accompany their daughter to settle into the school, so that they may be part of the induction and orientation process.

This will help to support the whole family in making the transition to having a child studying internationally.
