Collegiate currently has approximately 650 students from Kindergarten to Year 12, with a further 100 (approximately) in our Early Learning space.
Collegiate was founded under the Anglican faith in 1892 by the Sisters of the Church. The strong values of courage, integrity and compassion are still a primary focus for the School.

Boarding
Yes. Collegiate offers girls’ only boarding for students from Year 6 to 12 at our Senior School campus in Hobart.
Boarding is a big transition for your child. Collegiate has many support systems in place to make sure that our students feel supported, valued and safe.
You can support your child in Boarding by having regular contact outside of school hours, showing an interest in their life at school and by keeping the boarding house up-to-date with any important information or changes that may impact your child.
Feeling homesick when in boarding school is a completely normal and natural part of the boarding experience, and it shows that your family and home life are an important aspect of your lived experience.
If you are feeling homesick, it can be helpful to reach out to your friends and support network, speak to your family, or speak to your teachers and mentors.
Signing up and trying a wide range of activities (sports, social clubs, co-curricular activities) where you can make new friends and connections can be very helpful while settling into Boarding School, and we encourage all of our students to take advantage of all the opportunities available at Collegiate.
