“Any day spent with you is my favourite day. So, today is my new favorite day.” — Winnie the Pooh
The early years of school are such a special and important time in a child’s life. It is a time of great growth, with teachers playing a pivotal role in your child’s development.
Teaching and learning in our Kindergarten is informed by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, the Early Years Learning Framework, inquiry and play-based approaches and nature education. Children are provided with authentic, relevant experiences and benefit from small class sizes and natural spaces.
Collegiate offers three, four or five day Kindergarten programs that support the learning journey of each child.
The Reggio Emilia approach is an innovative approach to early childhood education and care. Each school responds in its own particular way to this approach, based on the needs and interests of the children in its care.
By including explicitly planned literacy and numeracy activities, our Kindergarten program offers a broad scope and sequence for all our young learners.
Classrooms
The Kindergarten learning spaces are filled with natural light and offer all-round views of Anglesea’s beautiful grounds and Kunanyi.
The neutral palette of our classrooms is intentionally designed to maximise creativity, experimentation and exploration while also creating a calming and inspirational learning space.
Kindergarten offers additional specialist subjects including Physical Education, Library, Mandarin, Faith & Life, Art and Music.
The Kindergarten environment fosters a collaborative and innovative landscape of learning and growth.
