The St Michael’s Collegiate community gathered earlier this term for the Principal’s Welcome Evening at the Senior Campus, marking a warm and inspiring start to the school year.

Families, staff, Board members, Alumni, and friends came together in a spirit of connection and celebration, enjoying delicious food and while sharing stories and excitement for what lies ahead. These evenings highlight the strength and warmth of our close-knit all-girls school community.

Principal Dr Julie Wilson Reynolds extended a heartfelt welcome to new and returning families. She spoke thoughtfully about the school’s strategic plan, outlining our shared vision for empowering every girl to embrace the fullness of life through courageous learning, personal growth, strong values (Courage, Integrity, and Compassion), and a supportive environment that nurtures academic excellence, wellbeing, and leadership.

A special highlight was the unveiling of this year’s City Campus Middle School Musical—Matilda Jr.! The announcement sparked huge enthusiasm, as students and families look forward to the magic, mischief, heart, and powerful themes of courage, cleverness, and standing up for what’s right that this beloved Roald Dahl story brings to our stage in August.

Adding to the joy were enchanting micro-performances (1-minute showcases) from our talented School of Performing Arts (SPA) students. These brief, brilliant moments filled the evening with music, energy, and pride, showcasing the creativity and skill thriving across our performing arts program.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making the evening so memorable—your presence strengthens the bonds that make Collegiate feel like home. Here’s to a year of brave learning, shared successes, and continued growth together!
