At Collegiate, our House system is the heartbeat of school spirit! With eight dynamic houses—Dundas, Kilburn, McPhee, Mitchell, Montgomery (Monty), Reibey, Rivers, and Stevens—students from Prep to Year 12 are grouped into colorful teams (red, blue, green, and yellow/purple) that foster leadership, teamwork, and lasting connections. Each house has sister houses within our school and brother houses from The Hutchins School, creating a broader community network.

The purpose? To build a strong sense of belonging, encourage healthy competition, and integrate everyone—from boarders to day girls—through shared experiences that echo our values of Courage, Integrity, and Compassion. It’s all about mentoring across ages, developing character, and celebrating every girl’s unique journey.

Exciting events and activities keep the energy high: inter-house swimming carnivals, athletics, debating, choir competitions, performances, and more—culminating in the coveted House Cup and House Spirit Cup! These not only spark fun rivalries but also promote collaboration, personal growth, and intergenerational bonds, strengthening our close-knit community where everyone feels supported and valued.

Just last week, our annual House Breakfast brought it all to life—a wonderful opportunity for Prep to Year 12 students to connect with staff, student leaders, and house mates over shared meals and conversations. Moments like these build genuine friendships, boost school pride, and remind us why Collegiate feels like family!
