IF Lab: Where science, technology and ideas take shape
Bringing together our specialist Biology, Chemistry and Physics laboratories with a dedicated fabrication and technology space, the IF Lab is designed to support learning that moves beyond theory and into practice.
Within this space, students investigate scientific concepts in depth and then apply their learning using tools such as 3D printers, a laser cutter and electronic equipment. Ideas are tested, prototypes are built, and abstract concepts become tangible outcomes.
The IF Lab supports collaborative, inquiry-led learning, where students work in teams to explore real-world challenges and develop creative, evidence-based solutions. Whether designing a model, conducting an experiment or refining a prototype, students are encouraged to think critically, experiment confidently and learn through doing.
By combining specialist science facilities with advanced technology and maker spaces, the IF Lab equips students with the skills, curiosity and adaptability they need to engage with a rapidly changing world — and to help shape it.
