Bursaries

Through the generosity of various benefactors, the College can offer the several scholarships, bursaries and awards.

Tuition fees are a vital component of St Michael’s Collegiate School and form the majority of School income.
Fees are primarily used to pay salaries (which equates to over 70% of total school income), purchase classroom
resources and to meet capital loan repayments.

Assistance given through Bursaries is limited and is intended to reduce the cost to some needy families for their
daughter’s tuition fees, to a level that they should be better able to afford. For current St Michael’s Collegiate
School parents priority will be given to those families who have demonstrated a commitment to the School, made regular payment of past tuition fees and the number of children enrolled at the School. The Principal will make decisions on all bursary offers. Regrettably not all applicants will receive assistance.

When your financial position improves, it is expected that you will notify the Chief Operating Officer so assistance may be reallocated to those in greater need. Regardless of this all Bursaries are subject to annual review on the same basis as the initial application.
