Catelyn Richards (’11) Westpac Future Leader Scholar

Congratulations to Westpac Future Leader Scholar, and Collegiate alumna, Catelyn Richards, whose postgraduate studies will help shape future healthcare systems.

Catelyn’s leadership and ethic of care was clear during her time at Collegiate, where she was elected Deputy Head Prefect, and Spirituality, Service and Social Awareness Prefect.

The Westpac Future Leader Scholarship, valued up to $120,000, enables postgraduate students to pursue their research, as well as connect them to a network of like-minded individuals who are driven to find innovative solutions to problems facing our local and global communities.

There have been only 5 Tasmanians awarded this scholarship since their inception in 2015 and, so far, 3 out 5 are Collegiate alumnae!

Through the scholarship, Catelyn will undertake a Master of Leadership in Health and Human Services at the University of Tasmania, to build her capacity to shape healthcare systems to be more accessible, equitable, sustainable and nurse-driven.

We’re so proud of Catelyn and look forward to the ongoing impact and change she will lead in Tasmania and further afield!
