Compliment – You like something
It’s great to know you had a positive experience. If someone deserves a compliment, you can let them know directly, or you can pass on your compliment by completing this form.
Complaint – You don’t like something
A complaint is an expression of dissatisfaction made to St Michael’s Collegiate related to our services or programmes, or the complaints handling process itself, where a response or resolution is explicitly or implicitly expected.
Complaints about child abuse, grooming or other harm, or other breaches of our Child Safe Codes of Conduct, relating to conduct by current or former staff members, current or former students or other people on School premises or at School events; are managed differently to other complaints.
Before submitting a Formal Complaint, please ensure that you have read our Complaints Handling Policy available on our website.
Complaints regarding the Principal
Complaints against the Principal are processed separately from other complaints. Please email: board@collegiate.tas.edu.au
Responding to Complaints
We will investigate your complaint and do our very best to provide you with a response within 14 days. If we are unable to provide you with a response within this time frame, we will contact you and keep you informed of our progress. If necessary, we may need to contact you to obtain further details of your complaint. Once an investigation has been finalised and a determination regarding your complaint has been made, we will notify you in writing.
Anonymity
If your complaint is made anonymously, we will do our very best to investigate and action your complaint to the extent possible. It will not be possible to provide you with feedback.

In submitting this official form, St Michael’s Collegiate is collecting your personal information. The information you provide will assist us to investigate and resolve the matter and to comply with the legal requirements.
Your personal information will be kept confidential and used on a need to know basis within the School. We may be required by legislation to provide this information to regulatory authorities, our insurers, and any necessary service providers in investigating or taking appropriate remedial action.
