Jenny Jones is our Head of Humanities.
What do you love about your job?
Working with a team of amazing teachers who inspire me daily is a real privilege. I’m passionate about the importance of history so being able to teach young people to make connections with their own world is equally inspiring.
What made you want to study teaching?
Teaching really suits my strength of interpersonal communication whilst challenging my tendency to procrastinate; there’s nothing like a deadline for motivation.
What is one thing you would go back and tell your 14-year-old self?
Don’t worry about the future too much. If you choose good friends and back yourself when needed, all will be ok.
What is one thing you would love to do, if you could you do anything?
Definitely time travel. There are some times in history I would really like to witness.
If you could invite anyone to dinner, who would be seated at your table?
Elizabeth I, Eleanor of Aquitaine and (for a bit of controversy) Karl Marx.
